when using glorfindel in war of the ring, do you have to use his mounted figure? |

Actually, you don't have to. However, I strongly recommend at least putting him on the 40mm base because that is the base-size used for monsters. |

I don't have the mounted version (and at current prices probably won't for a very long time) but I have the armored foot version from the old White Council box set. As I'm working on him I'm using his standard sized base but making a custom 40mm base that it will fit onto as well for when I play him in WotR. |

If you have a spare plastic horse fig, you could put the horse on a 40mm (or 60mm, a lot of monsters are on 60mm bases) and magnetize it or something so that an unmounted (on foot) Glorfindel is standing next to Asfaloth but you can still use the foot version for something else if you want. |

Just useless for representing Glorfindel. I have one that I use as one of the twins or a captain depending on list. An elf is an elf, they only thing that really identifies it as a particular elf is the fact that they gave that particular sculpt a name. |

I agree with forgotten lore, I know someone who used a murin model as a dwarf captain because he only needed drar and can't make a dwarf formation the erebor guards because he has to much rare formations |
