Hey guys,
I was wondering if anybody has a link to a WOTR cheat sheet/ quick reference guide?

oh oh before i go, during a fight in WOTR after it is resolved do you seperate the units like you would in the skirmish game or are they stuck in combat until the end? :)

cheers in advance :D

It doesn't have to be one inch - just a visible distance.

There also is one in the back of your rulebook.

Well about the "separating formations one inch".. Does that mean it is possible to move away from your opponent and charge another formation? (I understand that you have restrictions by the rule" the enemy are upon us". )

It still does seem rather stupid that you can fight and then just run off and fight some one else as long as you have priority... What do you guys do in such a situation?

No, because you only charge in the charge phase, not the fight phase. Formations can't move into contact.

what I meant was a situation in the following order:

Fight Fase- 2 formations fight and are both not destroyed. they move apart 1 inch

Priority - one side gets priority

Move Fase - one of the previously fighting formations moves away from it's former opponent and fights another formation or makes room for another friendly formation to fight the enemy.

Is this possible?
I guess not but it makes WOTR very static. one in combat you have to destroy an enemy formation to move on to the next one.

That is totally possible in principle, however in practice it'll take you two or even three turns to do that, as well as a lot of wheeling around. On top of that, if this is possible, then most of the time you could make a flank attack as well.

So in short, possible, but not likely.

You definitely don't need to destroy a formation, just charge in again next turn.

yeah that's true...

I understand the whole principle about charging the next turn. Tactilely you have to keep fighting the same formation until you destroy them.. The thing that makes a battle static is if you don't have a lot of points and therefore formations the battles are all the same.

My conclusion. Buy more models muhaha

You don't have to fight again, you can also just back off or charge someone else (remember Heroic Move)
