The rulebook on page 67 says Monstrous Heroes can duel like other heroes. Under Heroic Duels it says if a hero takes a number of hits equal to its resilience he is slain. So if a monstrous hero such as a Winged Nazgul, that has the Hard to Kill special rule is in a duel and has two automatic hit results which is equal to his resilience, is he slain or do you have to roll on the Hard to Kill table like in regular combat?

As far as I know, once you get 2 hits (or the number of hits equal to the monsters resilience) you get 1 roll on the table. So if a hero wins a duel against a monster and scores 5 hits that means 2 rolls on the table.

Correct.

A monstrous hero with resilience of 2 needs two hits for the chance to be killed.

The chance is a roll on the appropriate Hard to Kill table.

So if Aragorn beats the Witch King by 4 in a duel, he gets to make 2 rolls on the Very Hard to Kill table. (and to repeat Haldir's example slightly: if he scored only 3 hits he would only get to make 1 roll, 2 hits get past resilience to gain 1 roll, the 3rd hit is discounted, as he would need another)
