We vote Lurtz(well most of us) so the entry is for Lutz and other mini connected to him(Uruk-hai heroes)

Hey guys, just dropping in quickly. As Matt has said I am currently away on my holidays so he will kindly be setting up the next challenge thread.

The point is more to also allow miniatures that look similar to the selected mini, it's just more so than not that is the case (as in most cases any mini that looks similar to another will also be connected to it in some way).

Here is my proof photo of Mauhur and Ugluk. I'm not sure which one I'll enter. I tried to get a pic with the iPad in the background to show the date, but the flash picked up all the finger smudges and dust on the screen. Yikes!

I have a Lurtz and I will get the coors this week and finish him before I return from holidays if my fatehr gets the machin to put photos

I have three Lurtz, not by choice; the popular shield and sword Lurtz, the Amon Hen Ambush which I'm painting, and one that I got in a blister that is like the Amon Hen model except his bow arm is outstreched and his head tilted up with his other arm just done firing. I wonder how rare that last one is, if at all. I still have it in its blister.

It's been ages since I painted up a LOTR figure and I've forgotten how nice the sculpts are - especially the FOTR-era ones. Wow, this is fun!

I've started working on his skin tones now and have done the face (mostly) - still need to do his teeth and tongue. I also files down the end of his bow because it looked so ridiculously thick.

Good job on taking the file to that thing, whatever it is at the edge of Lurtz's bow. I thought at first it was excessive flash mold that needs to be cut off and then I realized.
