I agree, MMs's Boromir is very well done. Although i must say Sacrilege, that is an outstanding amount of detail on your banner excellent job. I also have to say PowerofWill did great work considering the quality and detail that are on the fellowship models in the MoM set. This is going to be a hard decision... |

I voted for MMS. The realistic style is outstanding. I hope I can paint like that one day. I agree Sacrilege is a close second - the banner is amazing and the mini is very, very good. Finally, PoW did a fantastic job on the MoM Boromir - great detail on a pretty average sculpt from GW. Well done everyone. |

MM's is good, but to me the face/hair and cloak are what really stands out. The rest of it just doesn't quite seem to be up to the normal standard for you MM, the sword especially is a big part of the mini,, and it just looks a little 'meh' to me. (That's not to say this is a bad figure, just not super awesome ) Pow did a really good job on that plastic MoM figure, much better than my try with that figure. Sacrilege did some awesome free-hand, though I don't really like the basing. My vote will go to Pow. I really like that he made the wood grain on the back of the shield, and the horn is not pure white. I had a terrible time trying to get that horn to be not just plain white, but could never really pull it off, pow did. You also did a good job on the face. Great job everybody. |

Metallics aren't my strength and don't spend enough time on things like swords and armour as I should and am tending towards nmm these days. I went Sacrilege; his miniature would really stand out on the tabletop with that brilliant banner. |

I really like both of your Borimirs. They both have been done very nicely It was a very difficult decision, but in the end I voted for Sacrilege's. I really like the free hand on the banner, and the rest is nicely done as well. I have to say though, I really like the way MM did the armor, and his face is quite nice too. Good work both of you! -Pow |

Thanks for the votes my competition, I voted for myself as well... lol, nah I went with MMS. It looks like PoW that your greatest detriment according to others is the sculpt itself and not your painting which you did do a great job on. I like the pose of that MoM sculpt anyway even though it's not metal with the sharpest detail, but I like that pose because that is actually how Boromir swings his sword in the movie. Too bad Raurkov didn't make the cut, he was doing such a good job. Too bad that extra week wasn't enough to finish it off. The guy said he was sick for the ending of the previous two competitions and missed his entries, I hope he's not on his death bed now for this one, jk. |
