Great pics - the terrain is pretty good too.
I will have to hold off on purchases as, thanks to my (insert suitably descriptive expletive of your choice here) employers and their equally (any other suitably descriptive expletive) landlords, my car has been damaged.

Are any of those Citadel Guards new? Anyone know of any new Gondorian models being released with WotR? Thanks.

Enough said!!!

If anyone has a close up of the rohan captain, i would love to see it. The one in the Picture is a bit hard to see, do to distance and glare...

Loving the new models, except the ents, i liked the old ones more

Keep 'em coming :yay:

There is a decent picture in the newest White Dwarf. I've seen it show up somewhere online as well (scanned in). Probably at TLA.

Wow, A nice new bunch coming out!
Yes for Galadhrim, great new poses. Are those spearmen in front of the archers, too?
WK looks awesome.
Citadel Grd looks the same???
I hate the Ents, yuk. I'll keep making my own with sculpy...
What are the two men on horse back next to new Theoden??? Dunland, perhaps? they look wild.
any idea when we'll see them available?
Thanks for the posts with pics! All pics worked for me, BTW.

I like all the models except the Ents. I can't wait for the new Galadhrim knights.

The models look fantastic! Great find! 8)

The only thing I'm dreading is this new gaming system. I haven't the time or effort to bother learning it at the moment, but I hope the old system won't be abandoned by gamers.

I got into this game *because* it was a skirmish system. I like how the individual models can respond to small pieces of terrain. I'll definitely buy the new rules, but I expect most of my games will still be SBG.

With this new system I have made a campaign. (I expect the battles to be over more quickly becouse of the no roll to hit and no roll to win the fight).
It originally required 11 players but then I realised we were only 4. The factins are: Mordor (including Isengard (political reason not geografical), Dol Guldur and the evel humans around Mordor), Goblins, Gondor+Rohan, Elves+Dwarves+Arnor.

I think that's gonna be the case anyway. When you go into your local GX store/hobby shop/club are the 40k players all playing Apocalypse every time, or are the vast majority of them still playing a standard game?

Possibly, due to the fact that you can create a couple of formations with a few box sets, we might see a larger percent of WotR games compared to SBG games, but, if your area is anything like mine, that wouldn't be all that hard really...

:-D

I love the Rohan Commander. He'll be Either Elfhelm or Grimbold for me.

Druzhag looks nice as well, perhaps conversion options for a prowler with bow? And hten use the bat Swarm as a batswarm .. oh joy.

Hasharin looks very good as well.

Dwarven Shieldbearer looks .. Better, now I've seen that shot.

Amdur, brilliant as ever.

Stormcaller isn't bad either.

And the AOTD , i'll be getting to boxed of them and Convert my brains out!

Gandalf and the Witch King look awesome, I'll have to see Theoden again but I think he'll get into my collection as well.

Command Squads are Fantastic. Galadrihm are great.

The Citadel Guards are a bit of a personal favourite as well, I've got to say!

The AotD frames are excellent - mix and match parts to get variety. The batswarm I shall avoid... only Bruce Wayne deals with those... :D

The Elf Stormcaller looks really nice. I'm guessing he will go with the new plastic Galadhrim elves.

i confess I don't like the stormcaller much. I don't like the idea the name implies, and he looks like an Uruk shaman with clothes on.
