Does anyone have any advice on defeating Radagast? He seems very powerful. He was able to kill my brother's ringwraith on turn two with Light of Valar and then used epic tranquility to thwart attempts to charge his formation. How would you go about killing Radagast?

Remember that if radagast targets a formation with light of the valar, a ringwraith within in does not take the D3 hits. That only applies to formations whose type is spirit; you cannot target a hero with that spell.

And to kill him? I'd probably duel him at every opportunity. His fight value is relatively low and his epic defense means nothing this way. Your only obstacle is the epic tranquility, so don't be afraid to pepper his formation down with some ranged attacks while he spends his might.

Betrayer and some Easterling Archers took out my Radagast with shooting, but then, my formations were to small.

Ringwraith sniping is not okay, hit him with the rulebook.

Assuming from what you wrote I can guess that you play with Mordor force. It would be much easier to say how to kill Radagast if you said which army is your friend using him in. But still even without knowing that I can help you.
Firts of all try to cast some spells on his formations or him. The Black Darts and Black Breaths should be helpful. In case you've got a few Ringwraiths and Radagast is the small formations you can also try the Strenght from corruption spell. It should kill some warriors from his formations but use it only if you have a chance to enought soldiers to take it from tha table. But remember that this spell is a dubble-edge sword - in you won't kill enough soldiers that formations will have increased strenght.
When it comes to Epic Tranquility try heroic charge. They are both called in the same time so you have a good chance that you will be first and will have a chance to charge it before that ability is used. Of course some luck is needed but still try it :)

Oh my bro plays easterlings.hmmm...So he couldn't have targeted the ringwraith in the easterling pike formation? and so how do heroic charges and epic tranquility work since they're called at the same time?

No he coudn't. If the spell doesn't imply to only hero(like Black Dart) but to formations it means that in that case hole formation must be a Spirit one, or the Light of Valar won't work that way.
Epic Tranquility is a feat that is called at the begining of the charge phase by Radagast. But when an enemy declare the Heroic Charge he charge before you have the posiiblity to call that Epic Action cause you are doing that in your Charge Phase, and he by declaring Heroic Action try to move before you. Of course you can also tray to declare heroic charge and then call the Epic Tranquility but in that case you will lost 2 Might Points, and there is a 50/50 chance that you opponent will charge before you.

Thanks for the reply! He argues that it works because on Page 72
Epic Heros and Spell Interation it says this:

"A magical power that is targeted against a formation will also affect any Epic Heros that have joined that formation."

Which seems crazy to me! If he can snipe 125pt Ringwraiths every turn he's broken beyond belief!

In one point he is right. Actually is works upon the hole formations, so in this case whole formations will get a panalty -1 to it's courage, so the hero in it also. If you would like to take the Hero out of the formations, he will still suffer that penality. But look - the beginning of the spell is saying that you are casting it on the formations, not on the single model(Hero) so you take the race of the fomation not of the Hero.

No, I read that if the epic hero leaves the formation, also the effect on him stops,
on the other hand if an epic hero joins an enchanted formation he too will fall under that spell
that's wath the box about Gandalf and Gothmog on the same page sais

Ok,so here's the link to the thread on the local forum about this subject:

http://splinterfaction.bigforumpro.com/one-book-to-rule-them-all-f7/light-of-valar-question-opinions-t1939.htm

The guys who believe Radagast can snipe spirits seem like they're bending the rules to their favor.

The first post is correct, the formation has to be Spirits to take hits, since it's the formation that is being targeted, not the Hero that is in it.

Arguing terror is different, the terror rules are not written about formations, but about creatures.
