mail order or not mail order

Hi Folks not sure whether this was this was the right place to post this but here goes...

Is there anywhere which tells you a miniature is stocked at the GW stores, or only available mail order direct?

I checked GW website but couldnt see anything definitive there.

Well... the GW website tells you that. If you see a circle with a GW box inside, that means the item can only be ordered direct from GW. For example on this page, the Guards of the Galadhrim Court have that symbol: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/armySubUnitCats.jsp?catId=cat460019a&rootCatGameStyle=

Of course, I've seen nothing on their website telling you that's what that symbol means, nor is there anything in the item's description, but those are the direct only items.

Not quite true: I work at a store and we are unable to order Hobbits by regular means (meaning that they are not part of regular stock, GW hobby centres (retail stores) no longer carry them, and my shop can't order them through the regular channels & discounts), so we must talk to mail order to get any of them. If you look at the hobbits on the online store there is NO indication that they are no longer part of the regular range.
