i was just wondering if any of you are also into pc gaming? im not talking like serious stuff just a casual game here and there.
well anywhoo, i just wanded to know if anyone has any recomendations for good/fun strategy games? just something you call chillax with? nothing too... engaging
i play civilisation 5 and company of heroes but they both miss that... something i also have a few random titles but they're nothing too special :o

Age of empires 2: the conqueror's (this is an expantion to The age of Kings)
This is regarded by many to be one of the best 2D RTS games ever, and I really enjoy it as well to boot!
Here's a link to the AOK heaven forum. http://aok.heavengames.com/cgi-bin/aokcgi/index.cgi

Battle for middle earth 2 is also a pretty good game, and lotr themed. :)

first of all you need medieval 2: total war and the kingdoms expansion. You can download the lotr version for free after that! :D
just search on your internet for third age: total war, and make sure it's the medieval one, they also made one for rome total war, if you don't own medieval ;) but the medieval version has more units, like ents etc. But I miss some units from the rome total war version though.. :(

Rise of nations is great, goes through time from the ancient age to now.

Anyone playing Shogun 2? I'm obsessed with the Takeda :D (the red coloured clan, featured in the Trailer and intro cinematic, notable for their mastery of horses).

You definitely should, The Age of Kings with The Conquerors expansion is definitely one of the best games the genre has to offer.

Then how do you know you like it?

The original Shogun Total War and Medieval Total War are my favourite from that series, but I never got round to playing any after Rome.

What exactly is the difference between a strategy and a quest? I'm always confused. Anyway, favourite PC games on my side are The Black Mirror, Syberia and Myst, I don't know if any of them qualifies as a valid answer to your question
