One of them loves you less than you think, because I was the other one. Despite you making my poor kingy look bad and receive no love. ;)

Congrats Mac!

Congratulations, Miguel!

It’s good to see the Painting Challenges picking up again. I hope that we’ll have as many for next month’s competition!

Well done Miguel. Brilliant job justly rewarded. And well done to everyone else who entered. It was great fun having so many involved.

I don't think that the angle of that picture did your Aragorn a great service with the sword being in front of his face, but I liked the job you did on your model none the less. And thank you for your vote my straight forward direct competition.

There were a lot of great entries on this challenge, only if Mac wasn't on an entire nother level, this would be a much tighter competition.

Yes, he is on a whole "nother" level, but if Miguel didn't participate we wouldn't have a masterpiece to try to emulate. I take his work to be the benchmark I strive for...I'll probably never reach his level of artistic talent, but it does push me to learn and adapt my skill with a brush. Try not to look at it as his work is keeping you from winning, but his work will help you to eventually win. :)

And for future reference on taking different camera angles, you guys should do what I and garmehord have done, which is crop & edit all different angles into one jpeg file. So that way it's a lot easier for Red Corsairs or LotrCrown to upload.

Hmm... That sounds like a good idea. How would you go about this?

@Wah Wing - The easiest way is to use your default Word Processor. I use Microsoft Word. You add the images that you wish to add together to make one from file, once the images have been added you can edit each of them as you see fit to make them all fit together nicely. Once you are finished and are happy with the results you can use the selecting tool (the button for the selecting tool on MW has the image of a mouse pointer) to select all of the images. Now copy and paste this into a programme such as Paint. Once it is in Paint you can edit it extra if needed and then save the images as one file. Now that they are saved as one bmp file you can open the image using more advanced applications such as Microsoft Picture Manager and just treat it as you would any other image from there. There are much more advanced ways of doing it I'm sure but I find this to be one of the easiest ways for people new to it.

I can always write up an image tutorial for you if needed, however I don't actually mind you posting multiple images for your entries into the challenge because it doesn't take me too long a time to add them all, as long as you haven't posted a ridiculously large amount of different angles :P

If you use photobucket, it's easy to crop and then resize you images there. But becareful about resizing because sometimes the detail and the sharpness of the picture becomes blurred. Then you load those pictures onto the paint program and put them together there and save it under a jpeg file and not a bmp.

Also now that this forum only allows the pro-silver board, larger pictures width wise will get cut off, just like mine did in this painting challenge. I believe that the screen width on pro-silver is fixed and won't allow for scrolling horizontaly, where using the One Ring version before allowed that.

Unless you add it as an attachment in which case it will allow for scrolling as I have seen in a couple of peoples WIP threads recently. But obviously if you do enter your entry via attachment it will not be an attachment in the final voting thread as I will be posting all of the entries and will not be using attachments so that the order doesn't get muddled up.

Thanks. Sounds good. Simple. But effective.
I'll give it a go in the next Challenge.

Thanks for the votes guys! Nice to win something from time to time :D !
Glad you liked the mini.

I might enter this months Lurtz challenge, but I think I'll have to skip September.

Thank you all! 8)
