If mine was a profile, either SBG or WOTR, he'd be a Grima Wormtongue-type figure.

Well, may be a good idea to do it a little further into the RPG or even after it so that we can see some of the stuff that would influence it (things like Fate, for example).

Mine is likely to be akin to Floi Stonehand though...

And what stand betetr for me than a simple ranger... I am considering creating it from green stuff but I don't know if it will come out better...
But I agree with Hashut's Blessing... We must wait at least for half of the rp to be over...
The theme is how we know that the rp is at it's half...

Alright, I'll make a post now. Sorry if I don't post very often, but I don't have really much time. As English is not my main language I have to think hard for every post.

I'm checking back a few times a day at the moment (since my girlfriend is at work all weekend, lol). However, I must point out that I won't post if it's just to fill the gap until somebody else does because that's how bad forum roleplaying comes about ;)

Also, no harm in starting to think about the sorts of stats/equipment/rules we will have, just don't have them be fully defined just yet (unless you're using a die roll to determine your success/failure each time, in which case it could be more beneficial).

14 wargs are off... Sorry but we thought that 40 wargs wouldn't leave a village with so many 'meals' for two single persons...
Hathol has the fighting skill and Turgwaith is a wargbane... :-D
Now the rest of us will face the rest...

Yeah Hilbert and Legolas could you try not to "godmod" so much, considering hathol has a knife stuck in his leg, he should not be in a fit condition to kill a warg in close combat, let alone 4. He was purposely maimed by the numenorian so that you wouldn't be eager to go off on your own again. As for turgwaith, it doesn't matter how much experience you have hunting wargs, you shouldnt be able to kill nine of them with your bare hands, don't bother editing your posts, but in the future try not to be so overpowered. Alternatively if you want to kill such a large multitude of enemies do it inventively, like leading enemies into a trap or hiding up a tree, in any case you should not be escaping the encounter without a scratch.

Sorry but I don't think it is overpowered... You can kill 5 wargs, shoot one and kill another one when he is charging at you by sudden... The others can be killed by turning around... Wargs doesn't have as much tactics or skills as men or elves...
Anyway better next time we kill only one or two... :)

Wargs are stronger, faster, larger, more powerful and more agile than a human, even in a one on one fight, a warg would probably win, so maybe one warg, or possibly two, and a couple with bows, And yes wargs do have tactics, they are much more cunning than ordinary wolves. If you were Aragorn, or a very lucky elf, then yes, but wargs are better than humans. But never mind its too late.

Yeah, I felt that there was too much godmode coming into play, but wondered if it was down to a lack of my understanding about wargs or the skills of warriors in LotR (being primarily from a WH fantasy background). Think of it in a sense of not being the most powerful warriors of your respective realms, but still quite good - in the warg attack in TTT, Legolas kills a few with his bow before they connect and then a few more during the fight. Gimli kills one and a goblin. Aragorn kills a few.

Generally, a warg will kill a person if it gets into range. In TTT the horses get a lot of the worst of it, protecting the riders long enough to get lucky blows in. Just talking fromt he way I've been looking at it, via my limited experiences, not telling you how to do it ;)

Having said that, I've always had a problem with those that godmode, but that's because I was an admin on a roleplaying website, lol.
