I'm having a small (temporary) break from painting LOTR-figs and started something I had in mind for several months/years already, which is trying to raise my sculpting-skills...

I've always wanted to make a small bust-figure of never-knew-what...
Now since I've been looking at Avatar again, I thought about trying Neytiri to start with...

Here's what I have so far... Still lots of work to do though...

Image

I still have so many ideas (dreams) for characters to try in bust-scale... (with a few LOTR-ones aswell...) but I hope learning this bust-scale will help me to progress to smaller figures in the future :)
(I so want a Na'vi -army (Avatar) some day (and I also just ordered an Imperial Guard Catachan Jungle Fighters box to convert and scale-reference for small the Pandorian Na'vi army) :-)

(all this while I still have many painting-tasks in mind such as some awesome dead guys, some Ents, Eagles, ... and painting-guides)

Nice one Bart. My missus keeps on at me to sculpt the Avatar characters for her. I might secretly bang them out as a Christmas present for her.

Picked up warhammer again and went to seek in my stack of spare figures...
I once, long ago, bought an extra old warhammer giant to try to convert it into a great unclean one... I finally started that project.
I wonder if I will ever finish it, but at least I've started again :)

It's turning out there won't be much left of the giant (what a shame I used some of those parts somewhere under the miliput (the back and a head, but arms will follow aswell)

Still a very long way to walk, bere's what I ended up with yesterdayevening... (ignore the tongue, I'll rip it out again as it looks odd)

That's disgusting. In the good way that Nurgle should be of course, the new tongue is much better.

Who... is... Jabba... the...hutt...? O.o

Am I failing to see a joke here (in which case I apologize :p) or do you really have no idea who jabba the hutt is? :p

You're missing out on lot of fun by not having watched Star Wars, Bart. (or at least episodes IV, V and VI) I'm not really a sci-fi fan myself, but Star Wars is just loads and loads of fun. :)

Woah? There is someone on the planet who hasn't seen Star Wars? What a tragedy. My fave film trilogy of all time (closely followed by LotR).
