Pure epicness here. Especially the waterbottle and Dwalin.

Me likes your conversions. Dwalin's pose is quite nice. Gandalf looks more realistic, though I also like the unrealistic GW version.

The campfire looks a lot of work too. 8)

Thanks mate! :D

Nice Dwarfs! I started converting mine today too, also inspired by Monotone_matt. Like the campfire too, and your profile picture! :-D

Thanks Eothen!

Kili's done! :D

Quite an intricate mini this one... Beautiful details though. I had to redo the colour shceme several times before I was happy

The odd thing is he's exactly the same size as Oin but he looks like a human... I have come to the conclusion that its a matter of being short and stubby :gimli:

anyway, C&C welcome as always... :)

I think Kili looks very human too, also a lot like Aragorn! (I'm painting him at the moment and I found it very hard to give him a beard without him looking like King Elessar :P) I love the detailing you added and I like how you went for a lighter hood than the 'official' paint job, though I think it'll take some getting used to! Good work, lad :)

Thanks matt! I'm not really looking at any pictures (GW or film) so I'm just trying to think up some original sid-style colour schemes for all my dwarves (with occasional details from the books) :)

For some reason, blues alway look good on miniatures (even wit my horrific painting)

I bet the clothes might be part of why he doesn't look as short the other ones.

I like the vibrant hood against the dark coat. I could learn a lot from you Mr Sloth 8) keep up the superb work!

And, being a nosy Knight, any more sculpts to come? ;)

That's an excellent rendition Sid. The paimting is practically perfect :yay:

But i think you need to give him his vampire fangs.

You are a busy man Sid. I like the conversions. Colour schemes can always be played around with. The original sculpts are good enough to withstand a bit of revision here and there.

Just a mini update today... I decided that I could do with working on sculpting beards as I'm not very pleased with the beards I have sculpted so far (such as Dain's)... so I got out my green stuff and started practicing:

they're in order as I got used to doing them... I think no.4's my favourite... which one's yours? :-D
