I'm wondering if I'm allowed to give my dwarves flails, staffs, hammers, etc. because of the fact that their weaponry i listed as 'hand weapons'. So, I was wondering if GW has already told us something about this as the Hobbit book hasn't made it clear?

You can, but you'll need to convert anything that isn't clear.

That doesn't sound like a big problem.

It is at the most tournaments only alowed to play something witch is on the miniature when you buy them(you may switch wappens) but in normal tournaments it's alowed for dwarves to use hammers or picks, no other things for dwarves.
So it's not always alowed i think, but rulewise yes it is

I beleave that:
1. The GT plays with the rules like stated in previous posts
2. The rulebook hasn't got anything to say about it, which means that, as it only adds the fact people need to think more about the use of weapons and need to convert way more, that GW could even support the idea of adding many different weapons into your list.

Azog that doesnt make sense. All tournaments are WYSIWYG and now unless a model is specified as having a particular weapon, they can be modeled with any hand weapon. So yes, you can model a dwarf with a flail, club etc etc but each model may only have one hand weapon.

Also, please remember that while you are able to convert any hand weapon you want on a model at the current time, there is a (outside?) chance that GW could go back through and FAQ every unit to carry specific weapons.

It would suck to get those conversions going only for a FAQ to change everything back to sensical, no?
