Hi guys,
A quick question.
Does the king of the dead kill sauron straight away even if the ring has not been destroyed?

My guess would be no. I would personally treat the saving rolls the ring provides as fate.

I expect this would be a fairly unlikely scenario in a tournament, so if you're still not convinced, you could come up with your own house rule.

I'd say Sauron dies if he rolls a '1' after suffering a wound. If he doesn't roll a one I'd put him down to one wound :)

The rules for the Ring state that everytime he is killed, he rolls for the Ring. The King of the Dead's rule states that if he wounds someone, even once, they die. So if he were to wound Sauron once, he would kill him. THEN Sauron would roll for the Ring.
