Lovely work!
Did you know, the Dead Marshes are actually based on the marshland outside of Kenilworth Castle (near where I live?), supposedly warriors died there and there armour remained there for many years...

Nout sure if that's true, but it's what the locals say!!!

Anyway, lovely models indeed, nice conversions too! They look a bit zombieish, but that is no issue! They look that way in the films, just with ooky lighting and at the end of the day, it's fantasy! If you cannot use it to justify your creativity, then what can you do?! :)

Can't wait to see more spectral conversiony bits and bobs!

Hi, while I'm finishing my Dead Marsh Spectres, really I'm repairing the bases because the water effect is so difficult, I have been painting another one Mordor's Troll, the fifth, and at this moment it shows as this:

Image

Probably I'll cut the rock to made it smallest.

Ah, and I'll start very soon 3 Mordor Siege Bows...

That's all Folks...

Where did you get the twisted twigs? They look ideal for fangorn or mirkwood.

I shall rephrase the question. What sort of tree did you find the wood from?

Uf, I found it very long time ago... I think I was a Sabina...

Image

But I'm not sure, the piece I took was the Sabina's root.

Hmm. Don't think we get too many of those in the UK. But thanks for giving a sensible answer to my question (unlike certain ringwraiths ;) )

The trays for those Seige Bows look promising already, and the Troll looks very high.

:yay:

Very cool work, the twisted roots look right out of Middle Earth. Glad we clarified they are from a tree :P

Looking forward to seeing your finished spectres!

Hi again.
I'm painting two Mordor Siege Bows and I'm near finishing the first one, so I show you it.

Image

The Troll is finished too, but I'm having problems with the artificial water, so I'm trying to put it well and to show you the final photos...

The dead wood really goes well with the orcs. And that troll with the spear is MENACING!
