Indeed, so pleased we belayed the Valentine's festivities you had planned for one last turn :D Genuinely so close that had we played another turn, I couldn;t say if it would be win, draw or loss for me :D

Looking forward to the batrep.

I decided to bring three armies this time (two of which were 125pts that I could double for 250pt gam. Instead, I added them together!). So I used Harad and the Easterlings. An Easterling Captain with 10 Easterling Warriors, carrying 6 pikes and 4 bows, allied with a Haradrim Chieftain with bow and 3 Half Trolls of Far Harad with two-handed weapons.

Haha it was awesome.

Patiently working through the battle report now! Sounds like I got your forces right in the OP too!

Close, but no cigar ;)

I will try to have my camera for next week and, if you remind me, I'll bring the battlemat too!

Nearly!

That's brill! Think Ste was planning on bringing an actual board but a mat and the terrain I've now got probably saves all that?!

Should be fun next week, no time limit and other players aside from you and I! Maybe a 2vs2 situation?!

What would everyone like to see?

Well, to be clear, I'm still doing LotR SBG rules, not yet onto the Hobbit ones :D also, I'm waiting to hear back about doing the lighting for a play, but the timing of it means I likely can't - in other words, I'm still probably going to be about next week.

If ste wants to bring his board, he's more than welcome, but if I remember, I'll bring the battlemat either way. Bring the lad anyway and he can bring revision too. A little gaming here, a little studying there :P

Ill bring my "realm of battle" it's easily carried even if we don't use it.
I've got loads of scenery ill bring some ruins and some natural terrain just in case. I also have some fortress' but think its best to get hold of the normal rules rather than jump straight into drive rules, what u think?

Wow, you're bringing nearly everything! I don't think my Rohan will be ready so will almost certainly be bringing Grey Company. How old us your lad Ste?

Up to you if you want to bring scenery and board, a selection would be good and it would be great for when we move onto multiple games.

Got yourself the perfect babysitter lined up there already with the gap, nice!

I think I'm quite keen to do this tournament in Stockport in April (although don't have an evil force)

Are you all up for it? Represent out mini club?

We'll need to start learning the hobbit rules though me'thinks. I'll get my mate to bring the rules around tomorrow so I've got them for Thursday. Everyone ok with this? We don't have to go into massive depth since we're all picking it up (or picking it back up) but at least we're getting on the right footing.

Bringing the book for preparation makes sense - mostly learning the changes, lol. So, did you say it's 1k good and 1k evil? What evil army do you think you'll do for it?

I think I'll be playing as whatever you guys lend me!

In future, I might go for an umbar army or an angmar army but no interest in collecting those yet! Lets get these first two out of the way!

Thats me and you so far fopr the comp Thermo, are you coming Hashut? Unfortunatly my lad is with his mum that weekend so theres a chance I might use his Isengard force just for the plain fact it means I dont have to paint billions of minis in a rush and ruin them, lol
