And it doesn't mean they're not insulting, lol ;) Easterlings are 10 to a box as well. Gives room for banner bearers and musicians though.

I'm not sure where it was (I know it was an official GW post) but in one of the Grimhammer pictures it showed the grimhammer captain, He has no helmet on and his face is sort of ugly. Perhaps it will look better in person

Such a disgusting price for a generic hero, hopefully they're 30$ like the goblin captains but each monthly new release seems to get more expensive :-X

Worst part of this, Lindir is a single pack, he's only seen on foot, and yet he's part of the new Rivendell list. Hopefully he's on horse, but I really wanted both

I'm not too sure how it all works but if theres a mounted option in the rulebook surely he will be a foot and mounted release. These releases aren't concrete afterall so there may still be a chance of both options being released this wave.

Narzug can have a warg option yet he is only available on foot.

Converting non-mounted things into mounted things is one of the most fun things, though! Recently made a Mounted Narzug- that was fun!

Are you telling me theres a way to charge more than $70AU for a foot and mounted figure! Good ol gw.

Also if the releases are correct it's a nice little stunt they pulled with the 10 men box. I can understand Uruk-hai and Easterlings because they were old releases and there would be no use making a new sprue but with the new warbands rule it would seem obvious to sell 12 regardless of additional captains being made.

I don't know like I've stated I'm not too sure about the gaming side of things as I'm more a collector but that just seems odd to me.

Because you'll need 3 boxes to field 24 of them. And they'll most likely be 50$ a box.

Back when you could afford to buy extra things just to be able to have some fun options for conversions I would have agreed with you. But when you look at how over priced the foot model is to begin with, and now needing to buy a second, plus an over priced Warg, a conversion starts to get very expensive. And if you choose to use a Hunter Orc, for example, as the basis of that conversion since it is already a mounted model then it’s even more. On top of this it’s so hard to afford a decent number of new models for a full warband that many people don’t have ‘extras’ laying around. I’m loaded up on Wood Elf, Orc, Warg Rider and Haradrim plastics and have no problem considering some creative conversion options with any of them. But any new models make me look at them like something from a dragon’s horde due to the cost.

I agree though that converting non-mounted things into mounted things SHOULD be one of the most fun parts of the hobby. 8)

Does anyone else see GW pulling the same thing with these heroes as they did with amdur? Release them only on foot, and then once everybody has one release a foot and mounted blister, only to promptly discontinue the foot only one?
