Warriors of Gondor then instead of Arnor. Sorted. So that all comes to £161... Hmm. This might take some time. Also which models do you guys think are best for the Dunedain? There's a choice of the Dunedain, The Grey Company or the Rangers of the North. Also seeing as Arathorn doesn't actually represent Arathorn in this list would it be ok to sub him for an Aragorn model to save some money?

This battle was after angmar victory over Arnor and way before arathorn showed up..
Its kinda limited on heroes unfortunately although...

You could add, Gondor army
If you can find a dunedain captain maybe aragorn or arathorn model will work (or represent aragorn model as aragorn´s great grandfather) leading the last few survivors awaiting a vengefull payback and taking Gondor Combined forces with the elves to wipe angmar for good.

Gondor Eanur and a few more random heroes, maybe the knight of the white tower can go in.
For the elves, well any named heroe will work, they are old enough to join it.
It is possible that the elves from Lorien could join, since Elrond assembled the elven hosts from Rivendell/lindon and lorien.

The way I see it... you need a King of Men (representing Earnur) and generic captains leading Gondorian troops as those were the main forces. You need Glorfindel leading Elves, a smaller force than Gondor. Then a token Arnor force, representing the remaining Dunedain and Aranarth... Hmm this is fun, let me get back with a list!

Thanks Thermo, after seeing the price of Sid's list I'm willing to take any ideas. Preferably cheap ideas!

As there were some arnor guys there, maybe have Elrond mounted instead of the knight captain and replace elronds warband with a mixture of warriors and rangers of arnor?

High elf warriors and warriors of minas tirith are common as caterpies on eBay, buy those models there and that number will go down greatly

Edit: Also, to all those who have suggested spending 50pts on two rangers of the north, this is a waste of points, swapping the two dunedain for a kings huntsman from rohan (maybe even use a dunedain model) would be a much more efficient use of points.

Maybe youre correct, perhaps giving elrond a lift with the riders and adding an host of warriors or arnor leaded by a captain :)

Do your RoR need throwing spears? They already have bows, you could save a bundle or upgrade a couple to RRG or even Sons of Eorl.

To be honest I have know idea if they do or not, I just liked the idea! I'm kind of a n00b...

Okay...then they don't You're paying 2 points each for a weapon that only hits on a 5+ and you will have limited opportunity to use. Take the 22 points and upgrade a couple of RoR to SoE.

You could swap all the riders for suns of eorl to represent the fact this is ancient rohan and thus everyone is better.
