Heritage Fellowship project complete. Bear in mind these things were made in 1978 before i was even born. The sculpts were difficult to paint and maintain any sort of realism. The hobbits weren't too bad and the Aragorn was straight out of the Bakshi movie. anyhow go easy on me and enjoy.

There are individual pictures of these guys in the Dead marshes but as I don't like them that much the pictures are hidden haha
Harlequin Fellowship set next ....very very nice!!!!

I don't think they're as bad as you've made out. You've managed a nice variety of colour whilst maintaining a certain sense of realism, which for those sculpts is an achievement in itself :)

Thanks Dave - I think I was just a little out of my comfort zone with these guys. I guess we all take for granted just how good todays sculpts are. Give me finecast over these anyday.

They are smaller than we are used to now and a totally different style. You did a very good job. I am looking forward to the Harlequin Fellowship set.

I think that they have a certain charm, and you have done a superb paint job. Great colour scheme!

Who's the one with the bow? I see Aragorn, Boromir, Gandalf, Gimli and hobbits, is the other guy supposed to be Legolas? (I watched that film btw)

Great painting of course. Those models look straight out of that (rather bad) film, better than them in fact :yay:

This guy was scratch sculpted by Dave for the organisers of Adepticon as an event exclusive. I was lucky enough to be sent one by them. Cheers Dave for another awesome sculpt and thanks to Brent for supplying the cast.

Holy smokes Kev.
This latest round of stuff is just incredible. Absolutely amazing. The freehand work on Damrods cloak and the Hobbits shirt is second to none.

I really like it! It has loads of character. Its nice to see some villagers rather than warriors all the time.

The old Fellowship, though showing their age, look really good together which I think is largely down to the excellent job you've done in painting them.

Thanks guys. The harlequin Fellowship of the Ring i'm painting currently are much better sculpts although the swords are a bit on the thick side. Almost finished Azog ft & mtd.

I like the hobbit very much and I think the basing is very well executed and appropriately done. However, I'm not a fan of the chequered sleeves but other than that he's really neat. :)

Radagast is also brilliant... from the flowing beard to the swirlies on his coat, all pretty much perfect IMO..

awesome all round

Wahey! He's really neat and will fit in nicely with the other militia. I actually like the checks. Nice base too. Subtly terrained and not over the top

I think UKFB's farmer is shouting 'Oi! Get orf moi land!'
That's what happens when you go stealing mushrooms from Farmer Maggot.
