Hey guys. I'm now thinking of making a Harad and Umbar army. I'm just wondering what you guys think are the most effective troops and/or strategies. I've heard that Corsair Reavers are pretty OP and I like the look of Abrakhan Merchant Guard. I'll probably be wanting at least 1 named ringwraith as well seeing how awesome they are. Anything Harad related would be welcome. I'm going to go and look at the sourcebook probably this weekend but I'd still like to hear your thoughts.
Thanks

Also thinking about possible getting an Easterling phalanx in there because they are awesome.

Mumakil. You aren't a true Harad player without at least one.

Unless, of course, your army points list can't afford for you to get a Mumak and have other things in the army.

Corsair Reavers are very hard to come by btw , the crossbowmen are however not so much.

I think you can't go wrong adding in the Betrayer ringwraith and some haradrim raiders. I also am partial to the half trolls as they are pretty strong, with a greater str than a uruk

Half Trolls are awesome!
I would also get some Watchers of Karna, and a Hasharin.

You will need to convert Corsairs into Corsair Reavers.

Thanks for the replies guys.
I think I'll be going for a 500 point list. Possibly a 750 one though if that doesn't seem to work. Do you think I can play effectively with a Mumak at 750? I was certainly thinking of getting the Betrayer as my leader. I think I'll get a black Numenorean warband as well. Half Troll look cool and possibly some cav e.g. Serpent Riders or Haradrim Raiders. Don't really like the look of the Hasharin though...

Why aren't Abrakhan Guard mentioned? They are kick-ass for their points! Most certainly now they can use their two-handed weapon and still get supported. Combine them with Serpent Guard and the Betrayer for a nice combo :)
