Ok so in preparation for the big battle agains stormcrow and his evil partner thermo ( see topic Rohan in need ) I'd like your opinion on the army I'm planning on fielding
Malbeth
6x WOA(banner
6xROA (spears)

Twins ( armour,bow)
6xWOA
6xROA (spears)

Arvedui
6xWOA
6xROA(spears)

4x rangers of the north with spears
I think that's 745 points 15 might 43 troops

Not sure if I should swap arvedui the rangers of the north and the twins armour and bows for aragorn, isildurs heir
Comments welcome

Arathorn awesome. Played with him today. 3 attacks plus back him up with a spear equals 4 attacks and keep within 6" of malbeth so you get possible wound saves.
Beast of a man!! Lol

I love Arnor, check out my blog for some of the battles I have had with them, they look good, fight well and are a match for most!

Drop the bows on the twins.

Lose Arvedui, replace him with Arathorn. Three 3 attack heroes will be lethal. Or if you're taking Arvey for his stand-fast, just remember: a larger stand fast is no good if your hero is dead. At 750pts+ I'd always make an effort to include Halbarad with his banner of Happiness and Inspiration(tm) and an Arnor Captain. Sure the banner is expensive, but if anything its actually undervalued - double the price of two banners, but double the range *and* auto-pass courage. That is absolutely invaluable for Arnorians. At 1000 replace the cap with Arathorn.

I've taken Arnor to two out of three tourneys this year, and as a relative gaming beginner and taking non-competitive lists I think I can happily say I've got to a decent standing with them. But my current project is looking at how to make a competitive list using Arnor as a main basis, and I think I've stumbled upon the real ultimate list, but you'll have to wait and see to find out ;)

*Edit: Addtional note about Arvedui vs Halbarad. Larger stand fast seems appealing, sure, but running away is actually the least of an Arnorian's courage worries. The real killer is Terror causing models and not being able to charge. Up against a wraith? Let me tell you from experience, 40 something troops at courage 1 is not nice... the banner, however, negates that. Besides, if you're broken you've probably already lost, and a smart opponent would tie up Arvey before he can test for courage/stand fast. He's a beautiful model, but apart from fluff there's really no need or incentive to take him :(

Your second warband is illegal. You forgot that 'The Twins' are two heroes and not one.

Don't you need one ROTN for every 4 bows? You have 18 bows and only 4 ROTN. So you need one more to make it legal (or drop 2 bows).

Wouldn't it be better to use a 33% bow limit army like this?
Malbeth
Arathorn
Twins (armour)
Halbarad
28 Warriors of Arnor (one w/banner)
14 Rangers of Arnor

745 points

If you are going to use the twins you definitely want them mounted! They will be awesome on the charge! And six might will allow you to call a lot of heroic moves and charges.

Nice suggestion denizen , and thanks for pointing out the error , obviously I was just testing my fellow one ringer
Bilbo I'd love the twins mounted but I already have them on foot which would mean having to buy them again has GW only sell the combined foot and mounted blister . Stormcrow and myself have agreed to type up a battle report for our next game which will be as soon as we finished our new terrain and painted a few more pieces :D
