Superb as always. The red and gold look excellent and how you managed to pick out eyes on that sculpt I'll never know. Fantastic work Tim.

I've just got a few more details to finish on an old school Necron then its off to Hobbitshire and the Goblin King.

Hi Tim!
The Kromlech ork puts me in mind of the Blackadder Goes Forth episode about the Royal Flying Corps - this could be the noble Lord Flashgit. So much character in one piece. Wonderful. Really looking forward a lot to your take on The Hobbit minis!

Good to see you're still painting, the orc looks great, I really like the jacket.
I'm really excited to see your Hobbit miniatures, maybe you could make an article or two?

Thanks all, I've assembled my Goblin King and will be posting pics soon, sadly I barely get time to paint these days let alone write articles.

Amazingly neat and clean, Tim!

Is this one of the first Necrons?

Cheers mate, this was indeed one of the early Necrons. The models first incarnation was the android in the MB/ GW collaboration Space Crusade, then later the metal version the one pictured was given away on the cover of White Dwarf as a pre-cusor for the Necrons arriving as a range on their own.

Great looking early Necron. As well as appearing in Spacew crusade they were a choice for chaos in the original Space Marine/Titan Legions epic scale game. I remember the first of the 28mm metals being a freebie with White Dwarf - how long ago was that? Mid 1990's? I have a few of these in a drawer but not as well painted as your version.
Looking forward to The Hobbit images, Tim!
