fear army such at goblins at 125pts?
For mounted harad I wouldnt even bother unless you would make good use of bows, their characters even common heroes are expensive wich dont leave you much gamble around... An Hasharin for example would be specially deadly as youre facing low numbers and it cannot be trapped unless its knock to the ground, so in fac you dont have to worry to get double strikes vs goblins or something that overwhelm vs him..
Hunters: Leader: Captain Warband: 10 Hunters Might: 2
People down grade in rate alot these guys, but they aint a fair bargain to deal with that despite having fight 3 and well they are orcs... 2 S4 spades of each its none to gamble... a smart oponent will keep distance kill 6 and start forcing you to break, mounted archers/grey company might do the trick on this as the result aind so hard to get(its 5+ mostly from S2 bows)
Goblin Town: Leader: Grinnah Warband: 6 Goblins Leader: Captain Band: 6 Goblins Might: 5
Alot might points for the cost, but they are 14 goblins with D3, goblins aren´t particular strong with leadership and shooting at low game cost wise seems fundamental, I wouldnt try unless you could get minimum 18 goblins and a shaman preferably...
Rohan: Leader: Eowyn with horse, armor, and shield Band: 6 Riders Might: 2
Despite being 7, its a strong warband, the leader aint particular a long survival one compared to captain, but hey having a full warband composed of bows, thats 6 shoots a turn might come handy, also they are all mounted giving you flexibility and power on the charge...
Umbar: Leader: Bo Sun Warband: 10 Reavers Might: 0
Nasty warband, sort of like hunter orcs with more fight value and less S, they do have more courage in which can prove an excelent boost, also they got a banner effect which is awesome to an already high fight warband, even heroes at this point struggle to win vs these.... I woudl recommend since its 1/3 bows to get 3 arbelesters, a 30" crossbow from a D6 guy, even rohan will struggle to power control you since at range you got more range, more punching and eventually more numbers with superior fight troops and more attacks based (and a banner which is harder to kill) :P
Harad: Leader: Chieftan Band: 5 warriors with bow-1 warrior of Karna 6 with spear 1 warrior of Abrakhan Might: 2
seems an ok warband but dont have much flavour, 5 bows S2 re-rolls 1 a turn seems decent, but..i dunno they are literally naked rohan warriors and work sort like gobos, you need numbers...
Hobbits 1: Leader: Sam the Brave Band: 6 shirrifs Leader: Paladin Took Band: 6 shiriffs Might: 3
Interesting group but they lack on bows, you need range to counter hit and run troops, suffer from same goblin problems although these are way more stubborn to stay on the field...but consider these like no armour dwarves move 5" a turn with no bow, even riders mounted can hit and run as they move as much and then shoot with half a distance...
Hobbits 2: Leader: Meriadoc Band: 10 militia, 1 shirrif Leader: Paladin Band: 10 militia, 1 shirrif Might: 2
seems even more guys and might work, if a smart oponent play with you jsut encircle hit and run and make you lose patience by chasing rabbits "literally"
Winning list in my opinion:
Umbar: Leader: Bo Sun Warband: 10 Reavers Might: 0
to make it a winning list:
- replace 3 reavers for 3 arbelesters, you will win your oponent at: - superior fighting troops - lots of attacks - superior firepower - having a banner
Yu also could work at an isengard army if its the bow that counts, which can make you getting even more crossbows if you wish just getting cannon fodder isengard orcs or uruk scouts...
