unnnngh...., things were going okay until his Troll Chieftain Hurled one of my guy's into my support line, Axemen of Lossarnach, behind the Army of the Dead. There was some discussion of whether Floi could negate the Fell Beasts Special Rule: Fly. I just let it happen, and later on this forum, it was validated that he could. Clearly I need more experience and familiarity with the rules. It's just that there is not a lot of time for me to gain experience. I always have fun, and value my time on the field of battle.
This time, the new list here above, I am taking the side of Evil v. his Good. I do not know what he's taking. I imagine some Elves. And I anticipate him using Natures Wrath or something like that. He's a skilled tactician, and knows what his troops can do.
I am going to try to use the combination of Betrayer's magic (sap will and black dart) and Master of Poisons. The Golden King to influence his heroes. Couple cavalry units and the Mahud King to get heroic charges going as well. I have spear support all over the place backing up either high defense, multiple attack, or heavy hitting troops. Minimal shooters as they never seem to help much.
I think, for me, the main challenge is to get my deployment right. Running away is not in my blood, so I always charge in. It's a battle after all. I did use several of your pointers in the match. Osigiliath Vets, Floi, Cirion (I opened my blister to field him), and Guards of the Fountain Court. They all helped.
