On top of loving Warg Riders, I also enjoy the Berserker models immensely. In fact, I am currently in the process of sculpting some tankards and kegs for my berserkers to make them "Beerserkers", as inspired by a recent typo a few days past.
(Imagine Torchbrand Berserkers trading Torches for Tankards as well as standard Berserkers with barrels rope-tied to their backs).
Also, due to my budget, I am chopping up pikemen and sculpting crossbows around the pike-shafts.
Below I have a list that is attempting to use as many Beerserkers as possible as well as being sensible with army construction. I have included Warg riders from my Part 1 and I plan on possibly combining the two parts together for 1000 point battles.
Uruk-hai Shaman
12 Uruk-hai Beerserkers
(230)
Vrasku
8 Uruk-hai Warriors w/ Crossbows
(148)
Orc Captain w/ Warg, Shield
5 Warg riders w/ shields
(120)
If I could take even more Crossbows I would, but sadly Beerserkers eat up plenty of points. I am a person who loves patterns and symmetry so I'd prefer to have a full warband of Crossbowmen to accompany a full warband of 'Serkers. Though no matter how I try to manipulate a third warband of ruffians or orcs, I just cannot make it work.
How does the army list I have provided look? Am I overlooking any possible combinations? Should I scrap the cavalry for more beerserkers? I would like to limit any sort of "core" role to my 'Serkers, so this would mean I wouldn't want to take Uruk-hai warriors with shields or pikes when I could take more 'Serkers.
I am technically a casual player, but I do like putting up a good fight.
