if that happens I do then highly advice you getting gil galad and upgrade some elves to king´s guard for fight 6, you will be able to give a big headache to aragorns and those big meta heroes in melee

Yeah, I think I will. I could probably do a headswap on the Elrond model you get in the pack for a better Lindir too. Thanks for the help mate.

What you seem to ask its a tricky list those wood elves with high elves, both being expensive... really expensive, if you take like thran + gil galad thats already more than half the army at 500pts...

Both are beasts no doubt but elves get very bad when they get overwhelmed.

Prob I can give you some list combinations you might find attractive though...

Warband 1
Legolas Greenleaf, Prince of mirkwood
5 mirkwood rangers

Warband 2
Gil Galad on horse with shield
5 King´s guard with elven blade and shield
5 high elves with spear and shield
1 high elf warriors with banner
499pts

prob what youre looking for, I opt to take leggy instead cause well best archer in the game to lead a shooty warband, hes still very nasty vs orcs/uruk/goblins and got fight 7, which makes it even a bit easier to win fights

That is a very interesting list. I'll definitely give that a try. Thank you.

(Do have to purchase a Legolas and a new Gil Galad. *Lost the first, but I got it when I was quite young so would like another go at painting him*.)

well legolas ya its the new one the only diference is that he dont have elven cloak but got fight 7 and orcrist
Gil galad use the rivendell knight captain (funny that the guy is very similar to gil galad) then get the foot versions of either..

I didn't think about using the Knight captain, that's a good idea.

As for Legolas, could stick him behind some shields, let him shoot over their shoulder. That should help with the lack of Elven cloak.
