list 1 is nice although I would take som hunter orcs over gundabad... you need killing power on your core as well as the heroes are squishy.
Less fell wargs more hunter orcs, fell wargs cost 1pt more, they do move faster but not as kiling power as hunter orcs (again referring)

I agree completely. I play with Hunters as much as I have anything. They've not really every been an army that has even been close to getting beat easily. Even with bad rolls for me and mistakes they come out swinging and never stop.

I understand what you type about getting the Gundabads off your back log, and they are awesome models, but man Ive used them twice against Elves and Dwarves and their D didnt hold up enough. Their fight value is weak, and the rest of their traits make them weak Uruk Hai basically with less options.

As for your lists, I like the Boromir one. Its a nice little army. Good theme to it. And honestly Boromirs a maniac.

Sad hes using the Boromir without Fate, or least sad to say that boromir got no fate, cause bypassing his D6 aint that hard nowadays (used to back at the 1st fellowship sourcebook as he counted amongst one of the most powerfull).
Dont mistake me, I know he shouldnt get udnerestimated, just be carefull where you put him.
An Isengard player that got crossbows (or other crossbows users) wont find it 2 hard to hack Boromir to pieces, he just need 3x 5s :P

You keep Boromir ABSOLUTELY behind two men till you hit combat. Then you use his 6 points of might to wreck enemies.

I know hes killable, but any player whos average should know the basics of hiding squishy heros.

I agree with what youre saying though.

For time's sake for painting I've decided to go with a Minas Tirith force. The conversion for Beregond and the Citadel Guard would be a little rushed if I took the listed force, so here's what I've decided on.

The Fellowship/Minas Tirith

Warband 1
Boromir of Gondor w/ Horse

Warband 2
Cirion (Leader)

2x Osgiliath Veterans w/ Shield
2x Warriors of Minas Tirith w/ Shield
4x Rangers of Gondor w/ Spears, Ithilien upgrade
4x Knights of Minas Tirith w/ Shields

300pts. 9 might. 14 units. 8 casualties till breaking courage tests.

Notes. I could switch out Cirion for a regular captain for the defence 7, but the extra might and if they happen to have something terror causing his +2 courage to charge could be handy. I switched out the Citadel Guard for Rangers so I could fit in more Knights. Them riding with Boromir and his pool of might could be devastating with their lances. The Ithilien upgrade is there simply to fill some extra points, plus you never know if a wooded area might turn up that I could take advantage of.

Anyway, I'd love to know what you guys think. The fact that I have little to paint for that force means I can move on to painting up all my lovely Gundabads and take my time. :D
