Aye. Pity because I reckon I'd be in with a good chance this month. However I've decided to be patient, as I think they'll pay off. I haven't any finished pieces to show yet, but I'm definitely getting close to the level I want to be at.

Nice one Gene, is the quiver an addition (different colour)? Merry Christmas

Yep, it's a spare from the hunter orc warg riders, and the bow is from a warrior of minds tirith. Little bit of green stuff work to do but I cant wait to get cracking on it. Happy Christmas to you too

Done some more sculpting and tidying up on Bard. Should have something to show for it tomorrow. Really enjoying having the time to get stuck in to some hobbying, it's been too long.

Great idea!!! I considered picking that mini up last week when I was in a GW store but decided against it. Maybe at some point. You're making it look even better :yay:

To be honest it wasn't one I was keen on getting myself - it was a present. However I'm really glad I ended up with it as it's much much better than the GW paint job would have you believe. Same goes for warg riders which I also got a gift of, they're now some of my favourite ones. If you're into it then I'd say you wont be disappointed. I must say though the sword is extremely flimsy. I've stiffened it with a thin layer of super glue, and then a quick watered down layer of liquid green stuff. hopefully it'll do the job.

I can show you the exact or close quiver to it.

As you can see the warg rider orc quiver is very very similar, maybe you can replace that and make something more man´ish :)

Hope it helped

Thanks mate, appreciate that -in hindsight that would have been a better option. I think I have a spare one of those too. However I went for a patchwork leather effect on the one I've done. As if it were scavanged. Wanted to brush up on some sculpting too. Quite happy with how it turned out, but I'm too lazy to charge my phone. Pics in the morning.

Quiver finished. Never have much luck with green stuff but it's turned out reasonably well.

As you can see from this pic the face is sculpted quite well. that's only one layer of paint now.

I like how you've done the quiver. It looks quite good. Looking forward to another great looking mini here

Think i've done enough for now. Warmed up the face a bit and gave some first layers for the rest of the mini.

Lovely work so far. You've done an excellent job on making that quiver look like part of the model. Top notch stuff! :yay:

Bit of a fluke, think I filed down his foot too much, rushing. Turned out alright though. Thanks for the comments everyone
