Thanks guys, I had spent a bit of time away, but i am back at it again.

Could you all help a brother out? I had three minis make it to the 2014 CMON annual. I want to top that this year. I just uploaded my NMM Citadel Guard. I would be in your debt for a vote.

Many thanks!

Another round of updates of stuff completed over the past week or so:

First up is my March painting challenge entry Khamul the Easterling:

Image

Hope you like it, its a very strong competition this time. Amazing entries.

Here is a Morannon Orc Captain i didnt do for the February challenge. He is part of my determination to not put blisters back in the closet. I keep pulling out a two or three pack and only painting one model. As a result I end up never creating space for new stuff which is constant given all the conversions I get from Shadow and Flame.

Image

Last up is a Rohan Royal guard. My second attempt at a Marble base. I like this one even more than Khamuls. Expect two more of these guys soo as well.

Image

As always I cant thank you enough for the kind words and support!

Wow. Thanks again for all the kind responses.

here is my latest piece, a Rohan Outrider. The picture is a little over-exposed but you get the idea

Looks great Randy.

Bigger pictures of this guy on Randys site Painting Middle Earth

Pictures work better on the OR in blocks of two Randy and about 600pxls wide combined ;-)

And this is why you got my vote last month. Seriously good painting, I'm jealous of your freehand abilities. The horse on the Royal Guards cloak is incredible, just like the rest of the mini. :yay:

great work on the Rohan Royal Guard, the cloak is outstanding. The marble base really sets it off. The other figures are really well done to mate

You all are very very kind, thank you very much for the compliments. Here is my April painting competition entry. More details on the blog, but its a full NMM job and that helmet is a doosy. Dont know if I pulled it off or not. Hope I pulled it off alright.

well done, the NMM was good, just maybe you should have added a hint of white to the edges to make it appear "shinier." Other than that, looks great.

This month's challenge is going to be a difficult one, so many great entries.

Another great entry for the challenge, should be interesting.

Randy, I've done a tutorial on NMM gold on my blog if your interesting. It's a recipe I got from the NMM God Tommie Soule and I went through a learning curve trying to get it right on CMoN. The interesting thing was that I had to push my highlights but the main thing was the shadows, you really have to push them to make this technique work well.
I'm by no means an expert but I did learn a lot.

Good luck mate

Best painted mini you've ever done in my opinion. And I'm not just saying that because I did the conversion.
