So my boy has started Fantasy Wood Elves. I painted up his Durthu and also created a Branch Wraith to use with his Dryads:

Very nice painting and figures Dave, I used to love it when my kids were young and painted with me.

always had a soft spot for WH, is it true do you know if the new rules for WH are changing to a SBG style skirmish game?

Wonderful work, Dave!

I really like the glow effect you have on the runes, eyes & blade. The conversion looks awesome as well.

I hope your son appreciates the boon it is to have a father who can whip out custom sculpts like this!

Yeah it is nice to be a 'cool' dad in this nerdy world we live in. Tyler absolutely loves the gaming/social side of things but has little time for painting or modeling. Which is the complete opposite of me.

I have also heard that WHF is going sbg mode with circular bases Paul. That for me sounds like an entirely different game only using the same figures. Just as WotR was different to LotR SBG. So yeah it is coming but I firmly believe people will still play to the current format with movement trays.

Well the minis might not be my cup of tea but the painting is great Dave and he gets his own special character sculpt, lucky little chap :)
