Hi guys, going to a tournament soon. Need a 600pts army. The scenarios are Lords of battle, hold ground and "scouts" form desolation of stockport.

Need help with my army list, this is what i have now:

WB 1
Leader- Elrohir with H-armour. Elladan with H-armour
6 high elves with spear and shield
4 high elves with elf bow
1 high elf with blade
WB 2
Balin son of Fundin
4 Khazad guards
1 Iron guard
2 dwarf warriors with shield
1 dwarf warrior with banner

WB 3
Dwarf captain
4 Khazad guards
1 Iron guard
3 dwarf warriors with shield

Total. 31 models 600.pts

Comments and help are most welcome.

First of all, you'll need to remove all the individual point values for all the seperate models. Website rules.

With only 12 High Elves in your army, a banner is not going to be very effective, seeing as dwarves can't use an Elven Banner.

Okey thanks, I learned two things.

Allies can use each others banners just like they can benefit form heroic actions and area of effect spells. A dwarf should have the banner anyway since they have better defense. I would suggest giving spears to your bowmen too if possible. While its true they might not use them depending on how you play having the option to through them in as support is a good idea.

That said I personally would not use high elves as support troops like this. Rather I'd use Gildor and his exiles or the Grey Company. There is no reason high elves can't do the job but they won't cover the dwarfs natural weaknesses quite as well.

thanks for the advice. With the high elves i get the twins, and im not a fan of strength 2 bows. The twins can kill most evil heroes and combined they have 6 might, and in total i have 11 might. My plan is to win important priorities and let the heroes kill off threaths while the elves and dwarves use shieding to stay alive if they have to. Don't know if it will work...

My advice if you go competitive go with the twins + the king´s champion, I know hes expensive but youre also paying off for 2 banners all in a row and that can prove effective as you extend your banner influencial line quite a bunch... not to mention the king´s champion is nasty...

Indeed, drop the banner, and just get the King's Champion in there, since he will come with 2

Alot of expensive heroes for this point limit imo, also I believe the bow limit for the high elf portion is one guy off, 33% of 10 is 3.3

List is very model light, especially for objective games, and on the low end of mobility, and I'm not certain of how reliable they will be when magic users hit the table, and those heroes will defintely be your key to success with the amount spent on them

Maybe my comment feels useless... But i like this list (even with cheesy king's champion)... Heroes are something that makes game interesting, and these units aren't seriously on low side. Not like i was any pro to say what is exactly best by game-mechanic, i prefer themic over effectiveness (to certain point).

And I agree defintely always shoot for your likes and wants, but he mentioned it being for tourney, so I imagined he was looking for that kind of advice.

Though I see, little to no theme in this list, just a bunch of good stuffs imo.
