Here is my latest project, the Khand Chieftain. I don't like his head so he'll be getting a new one.

Is it okay to post back to back wips?

The surgery was a success! I am really sorry the pic is blurry, I am still unfamiliar with this new camera.

Your skills are complete. So, I took my inspiration from The Last Samurai. The idea is that this chief is actually from Dale or Rohan or some place like that but was taken in by a village of Khand people after a battle and was nursed back to health. Dances with Wolves later and viola, Man of the west turned into the protector of a small Khandish village. Some day, i will complete the mini with a bunch of non coms from Perry bro minis.

It looks good, but the eyes make him look like he's terrified. Like he's trying to swat at a swarm of bats flying around his head. :)

I love the conversion and the paint scheme! As Wah Wing noted though, the eyes are a tad big. With a touch of fixing (I shouldn't speak, I don't even attempt eyes!) it will be great. A winning concept!

May be he *is* being attacked by a bat swarm ;)

Thanks for the feedback, I was thinking his eyes looked big too

I also agree with the others about the eyes, and I also think the hair could use a little shading. It may just be the picture, but it looks a little flat. Nothing a quick wash can't fix though, I would suggest using Agrax Earthshade. It would also be a good idea to rehighlight after the wash too.

It is the picture. The hair got a few layers of wash (earthshade). I'll fix the eyes...someday. I already moved on to another project, but the feed back regarding the Khand chief has been applied to the current project. Thanks all!

Like the head swap, I have an extra one of that figure laying around - never could figure out what to do with him - until now!
