Hello everybody!

After a long time, I will be able to have a 400 points match again . I will play against a friend of mine and he will play a combination of orcs and moria goblins. I do want to try out an all hero army, but I want to hear your thoughts about my armies:

Army 1:

Thranduil's Hall
Thranduil, King of the Woodland Realm

The Army of Laketow
Alfred the councillor

Erebor Reclaimed
Thorin Oakenshield, King Under the Mountain with Orcrist; Dwalin CoE

Here I am not sure about Alfrid. He will make breaking much easier. How should get his might?

Army 2:

Thorin's Company
Thorin Oakenshield with The Oakenshield; Dwalin

Radagast's Alliance
Beorn

Army 3:

I could also make a Fellowship army, but I dont have any mounted miniatures, so I dont know, how to make exactly 400 points. The only thing I can think of, is this not completly thematic force:

the Fellowship
Aragorn - Strider with Armour; Bow; Gimli, son of Glóin

Thranduil's Hall
Legolas, Prince of Mirkwood

Some general tips and tricks would also be nice

Any isolated hero will eventually run out of Might and go down, so you'll need max attacks, wounds, fate, and Might, of course.

So your first list looks good--and no worries over Alfred: Hero courage will withstand the unlikely breaking of your army--with their Will to help (since Sap Will should not be a problem at this points level).

Also consider:

Gilgilad and Glorfindel both have Terror--very handy against Orcs and Goblins--and leave points over for another 100+ hero: Isildur, Boromir, Thorin, etc--even Thranduil King of Woodland Realm (if you remove Gilgilad's shield) But I would vote for Galadriel Lady of Light: only 3 defense, but full 3 Attacks/Might/Wounds plus Fate re-rolls, auto Blinding Light and her -1 to enemy Courage puts you in control of who fights. With all three Terror causing Elven Royality, the -1 should prevent swarming.

Your suggestion sounds interesting, but I dont have any of these minatures. However, I might try it out at some point. I am not sure if Galadriel lady of light is really worth it, because, there wont be a lot of magic at 400 points, so she will be there for the courage and the blindig light.
I would really like to have magic at this points, because it would be very good against shamans and trolls. However, there are no wizards that can protect themselves and cause enough damage.
I dont think that I will have a lot of problems with swarming with the first list, because Thorin does have terror (with Orcist) and its not that clever to swarm Thranduil . So Dwalin is the only one who will have this problem, but he can survive quit a bit.
