@Dead Marsh Spectre - is there any tutorial or your own words that you could share about these amazing trees? Especially, weeping willow (dunno if this is correct translation, hope so)

Been a little busy of late with the new arrival to the Marsh Spectre family but still getting through the paint jobs. A brand new "Project X" is in progress.... watch this space.

So anyway next we have Alfrid Lickspittle! Thanks to the lads at Asgard games for picking this model up for me.

More pictures are up on the website. http://www.shadowandflame.co.uk/single-post/2017/01/16/Alfrid-Lickspittle

Also added Alfrid to the S&F CoolMiniOrNot gallery if you would like to register a vote follow the link. Many thanks for the continued support.

2 blisters of Gundabad Berserkers completed. Really nice sculpts these guys . At first glance they don't look too difficult to paint but they are packed with detail which you notice more and more the further into the paint job you get. Well done Forge World!!!!

Really love the scars you've done on them. 8) Makes them look even more "berserk" if you will. :-D

Thanks guys.
Reto - the skin was painted like this, all colours are Vallejo game colours.
50/50 mix of dead flesh and stonewall grey Basecoat. Wash with heavily diluted brown ink. Highlight by adding a little more stonewall grey and some water to original Basecoat mix. Further highlight with heavily watered down stonewall grey on its own.

Hi DMS,

As always you did some awesome paintjobs, especially the way you paint up massive armies on a high standard is always very inspiring!
Alfrid looks great, I love the stubble that you indicated. The Berserkers are very nice as well, particularly the metal is really well done. In my opinion the skin could use a little more contrast though and the leather could use a bit of texture and some starker highlights to show it's usage. All in all they are much better than what I could do, I just thought that those aspects would add to the paintjob nicely.

Cheers,
Bennet

Cheers Bennet - yeh know what you mean with the leather and skin. Perils of batch painting on a deadline i'm afraid.
