Decided to keep track of what I have spent and what I have done this year hobby-wise. Not sure if this a good idea or not.

January through March
Money spent - $281.24 - this includes paint, glue, figures, terrain features, rule book
Terrain - dwarf statue piece built, Moria pillars repainted, 24 trees based
Figures bought - 44 - both GW and Warlord Games
Figures converted - 29 - head/weapon swaps, torso turned
Figures primed - 22
Figures stripped of paint - 6
Figures painted - 30

Figures may or may not be in multiple categories.

That's pretty good throughput for just three months. I had a decent 2020 but this year's been sad, with just four painted models and one battle report so far.

I do have some 1/72 WW1 airplanes that are nearing completion, but I don't think anyone here cares about them. :)

There's nothing wrong with the old Airfix kits! For me it's the Westland Whirlwind (and the occasional Spitfire, Mosquito, Lancaster etc!)

Kalatha.

June isn't done yet but it's too blessed hot to do anything the next few days so here is an update.

April thru June
$150.29 spent on White Dwarf magazines, paint, figures, terrain supplies including mold making and plaster of paris.
Figures bought - 12
Figures converted - 15
Figures painted - 20
Figures primed - 36
Figures stripped - 0

Been doing a lot yard/house projects, seeing family that I haven't seen since Covid started, not as much hobby time. Work on the East Gate has progressed; have decided on gate design, and have started on the mountain face itself.

Total for this year so far (still not sure if this is a good idea)
$431.53 spent
Figures bought - 56
Figures converted - 44
Figures painted - 50
Figures primed - 58
Figures stripped - 6

IF it cools done some, I can do more work on the mountain face as I work on large terrain pieces outside where I have more room to lay it out and work on it. Also hope to get more figures painted as terrain work drys, etc.

Time for another update :D

From July to September I did:

painted - 40
primed - 9
converted - 16
figures bought (GW and otherwise) 15
money spent - $166.45, however, I sold some games I didn't need anymore to Noble Knight Games and got in cash and credit $416

Year to date:

painted - 90
primed - 61
converted - 60
stripped - 6
figures bought 71
money spent - $597.98 cash/credit $416

Expect the money spent to go up if GW gets their act together and does the Necromancer and Defense of the North books and restock figures.

First my October to December results:

Figures painted - 36
Figures primed - 13
Figures converted - 11
Figures bought - 14
Money spent - $264.22

Biggest purchase was the Battle In Balin's Tomb game.

What I did in 2021 hobby wise, take all numbers as very close estimates, I might have forgotten some random figures I painted or converted and the money should be close but I might have forgotten some tax added on.

Might as well start off with the money - total spent $862.20, offset by selling old games for $416.00. If anyone cares I probably should go back and see where most of my money was spent. I know I spent quite a bit on terrain supplies for my game board I'm putting together. Supported GW by buying some figures from them where I couldn't get them from Ebay but tried to spend most of my money at a local game store buying paint, White Dwarfs and other supplies from them. My wife saved me some money by gifts of game books and molds.

Figures painted in 2021 - 126. I'm most proud that I bought and painted in one year the Grim Hammers. Usually I buy figures and they go into the ever growing pile.

Primed - 74. Figures bought and primed or priming some of my existing pile.

Stripped - 6. Usually old figures or bought off Ebay.

Converted - 71. Conversions such as changing arm positions, weapon swapping to changing heads.

Figures bought - 73. Grim Hammers and spiders come to mind. Bought some other figures for conversion parts.

All in all, I feel that it was a productive year. What isn't easily put into a number is the work I did on my game board this year. Could I have done more, sure. Will I do this again? Probably not.
