But he's actually very dynamic, running into battle with only half a foot on the ground, so I think it makes more sense in the round. He's going high-speed with his arm trailing to his side as he runs.

Agreed. Couldn't have put it better myself. Both lovely models.

Thanks for that. I agree it does look a little better than in the photo. Still I would have thought one end would have a weighted hammer to help force the pick end through an opponents armour. Have not been able to source a suitable war pick though yet. Perhaps the angle in the photo made it look overly large.
