Ok, so I have a lot of army ideas. I already have my favorites, but Id still like opinions. Im already leaning toward favorites, but Ill leave that out for now. Here are my lists:

Hunters:
Leader: Captain
Warband: 10 Hunters
Might: 2

Goblin Town:

Leader: Grinnah
Warband: 6 Goblins
Leader: Captain
Band: 6 Goblins
Might: 5

Rohan:
Leader: Eowyn with horse, armor, and shield
Band: 6 Riders
Might: 2

Umbar:
Leader: Bo Sun
Warband: 5 Reavers, 3 Arbalesters
Might: 0

Harad:

Leader: Chieftan
Band: 5 warriors with bow-1 warrior of Karna
6 with spear 1 warrior of Abrakhan
Might: 2

Hobbits 1:
Leader: Sam the Brave
Band: 6 shirrifs
Leader: Paladin Took
Band: 6 shiriffs
Might: 3

Hobbits 2:
Leader: Meriadoc
Band: 10 militia, 1 shirrif
Leader: Paladin
Band: 10 militia, 1 shirrif
Might: 2

Im leaning towards two of them right now. Ive played with most of them, but only ever used 1 in an actual tournament.

Tips, opinions, suggestions, advice, love, hate, apathy? Hahaha. Choose away boys.

I voted hobbit 2, just because I would love to see a bunch of hobbits smash things up :D

With your Rohan contingent isn't it only 1 might?

I'd vote your Rohan because Cav at that small level would dominate. Course I'd say an all mounted Harad if you can. Raiders and a Chieftain would be the best IMO

I'd say Goblin Town, Hunters or Rohan would be most effective here. Rohan would perhaps be least effective of these three but definitely the most fun and versatile to use. at this point level not many people will have bows, so 6 bows would dominate. Go for Rohan IMO.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh.............good point...I do have a bunch of mounted Harad.....

And no, Eowyn does indeed have 2 might.

But here's a list for mounted Harad:

Leader: Chieftan on horse
Band: 6 raiders 3 with bow 3 with war spear, 1 Abrakhan Raider

But Idk man....Ive had issues with them in the past all mounted....
================================================

@Isildur...yeah I thought so....plus Ive been wanting to field all Rohan for a while. This would be nice practice. And Im almost done with Eowyn already too.

My one fear with the armies full of small guys like goblins and hobbits is like yeah excellent numbers, but they might not be able to catch up to someone else.
------------------------------------------------------------------

But here's another though guys......for the Hobbit 2 army check it out:

-two warbands to place tactically
-Paladin has a stand fast of 12" and courage five, a will, and 2 fate
-Meriadoc has the horn so all hobbits courage becomes 4 immediately
-break at 12 casualties(more than most armies will have)
-Everyone has throw stones i.e. Up to possibly 20+ ranged attacks

fear army such at goblins at 125pts?

For mounted harad I wouldnt even bother unless you would make good use of bows, their characters even common heroes are expensive wich dont leave you much gamble around...
An Hasharin for example would be specially deadly as youre facing low numbers and it cannot be trapped unless its knock to the ground, so in fac you dont have to worry to get double strikes vs goblins or something that overwhelm vs him..

Hunters:
Leader: Captain
Warband: 10 Hunters
Might: 2

People down grade in rate alot these guys, but they aint a fair bargain to deal with that despite having fight 3 and well they are orcs... 2 S4 spades of each its none to gamble... a smart oponent will keep distance kill 6 and start forcing you to break, mounted archers/grey company might do the trick on this as the result aind so hard to get(its 5+ mostly from S2 bows)

Goblin Town:
Leader: Grinnah
Warband: 6 Goblins
Leader: Captain
Band: 6 Goblins
Might: 5

Alot might points for the cost, but they are 14 goblins with D3, goblins aren´t particular strong with leadership and shooting at low game cost wise seems fundamental, I wouldnt try unless you could get minimum 18 goblins and a shaman preferably...

Rohan:
Leader: Eowyn with horse, armor, and shield
Band: 6 Riders
Might: 2

Despite being 7, its a strong warband, the leader aint particular a long survival one compared to captain, but hey having a full warband composed of bows, thats 6 shoots a turn might come handy, also they are all mounted giving you flexibility and power on the charge...

Umbar:
Leader: Bo Sun
Warband: 10 Reavers
Might: 0

Nasty warband, sort of like hunter orcs with more fight value and less S, they do have more courage in which can prove an excelent boost, also they got a banner effect which is awesome to an already high fight warband, even heroes at this point struggle to win vs these....
I woudl recommend since its 1/3 bows to get 3 arbelesters, a 30" crossbow from a D6 guy, even rohan will struggle to power control you since at range you got more range, more punching and eventually more numbers with superior fight troops and more attacks based (and a banner which is harder to kill) :P

Harad:
Leader: Chieftan
Band: 5 warriors with bow-1 warrior of Karna
6 with spear 1 warrior of Abrakhan
Might: 2

seems an ok warband but dont have much flavour, 5 bows S2 re-rolls 1 a turn seems decent, but..i dunno they are literally naked rohan warriors and work sort like gobos, you need numbers...

Hobbits 1:
Leader: Sam the Brave
Band: 6 shirrifs
Leader: Paladin Took
Band: 6 shiriffs
Might: 3

Interesting group but they lack on bows, you need range to counter hit and run troops, suffer from same goblin problems although these are way more stubborn to stay on the field...but consider these like no armour dwarves move 5" a turn with no bow, even riders mounted can hit and run as they move as much and then shoot with half a distance...

Hobbits 2:
Leader: Meriadoc
Band: 10 militia, 1 shirrif
Leader: Paladin
Band: 10 militia, 1 shirrif
Might: 2

seems even more guys and might work, if a smart oponent play with you jsut encircle hit and run and make you lose patience by chasing rabbits "literally"

Winning list in my opinion:

Umbar:
Leader: Bo Sun
Warband: 10 Reavers
Might: 0

to make it a winning list:

- replace 3 reavers for 3 arbelesters, you will win your oponent at:
- superior fighting troops
- lots of attacks
- superior firepower
- having a banner

Yu also could work at an isengard army if its the bow that counts, which can make you getting even more crossbows if you wish just getting cannon fodder isengard orcs or uruk scouts...

Your Rohan force is a must IMO.who cares if hobbits and goblins outnumber you? Your do much faster and your charge bonuses mean you will kill almost every time. At 125 points t can't go wrong.

And as for Harad idk why the Heck anyone would think 90 points is expensive for a hero. Suladan is probably the best hero under 100 points in the entire game, with the Hasharin being quite useful also

Although now I noticed there is a problem... its a 125pts

peter jackson dont cost 25pts and the reavers cost 10 ea... so this list goes way over 125pts

Would be something more like

Corsair Bo´sun
5 reavers
3 arbelesters

this is 125pts (or 8 reavers)

Alternatively

If you take Isengard however:

uruk hai shaman
5 uruk hai scouts
3 uruk hai crossbows
123pts

Or :P

Orc captain
8 orcs with hand weapons
4 uruk hai crossbows

for a 125pts game, 90 its expensive lol

There are another combinations but I think harad win on this terms... you can make alot spicy lists and variety combinations from them... :)

That is a good suggestions and sorry for the miscue on points...I know I was probably thinking the banner in him is worth 25 pts alone and then I was like oops..... hahaa

I edited my army.

=========================

Thanks for the suggestions and advice everyone!

By the way guys what is throw stones again 12" and strength 1? Like a crossbow?

i would vote for hobbit 2 but at least have 7 bows in the army to shoot since hobbits have amazing shoot value.

edit: i saw did the cost of the whole army and u have at least 2 pt left over. taking away 2 of the sheriffs would allow u to field 4 bows. 4 bows is no laughing matter in a small game like that and the fact that u have throw stones as well would allow your opponet's to think their moving better. but thats my two cents on a more Effecive army and taking away from a fun army.

That's a very good suggestion I was thinking about that. If I were to use that army that's the route I'll go.
