Hello,

Since I'm now at uni in Durham, England, I was wondering if there were anyone on here who games at Durham GW, or goes to a nearby gaming club (one that's not too hard to reach from Durham!).

Also, I could quite easily make the occasional hop on the train to Newcastle-upon-Tyne (NOT -under-Lyme!)...so if there's anyone around there, perhaps we could meet up in a Newcastle GW for a game some time...or again, at a gaming club.

And as ever, if during the vacations you're near Chester GW, give me a shout!

Thanks,

SD.

There is a certain balrog who inhabits an abyss in the Newcastle area (allegedly). Just a suggestion...

There most certainly is, however, that certain Balrog does not play the game, he only paints miniatures and makes terrain.

Does that certain balrog do sandwiches? Tea? Go on. Go on. Go on, go on, go on...

Lol, you seem keen for us to meet, Mr Dorth!

DurinsBane - in that case, do you know where the best GW is in Newcastle...i.e. the one where I'd be most likely to find someone wanting a game? As I say, there is one in Durham - but it's so small that I doubt I'll find many LotR SBG lovers there...

Hold on, do I want to go to a city where there's an abyss which a balrog calls home? That doesn't sound too healthy to me...although I saw no sign of one when I was there a few days back. Still, I'll keep an eye out - a huge fire breathing monster would look pretty out of place in those malls/precincts. Unless you were posing in Fenwick's window, or as a Christmas decoration??? :o

Cheers,

SD.

Hi there, im actualy new at playing the lord of the ring game and here in Darlington theres hardly anyone here to play, so theres hardly anyone that can help me learn. I don't know were the GWs are in Newcastle or Durham but both are easy enough to get to by train.
Any thourghts or challanges are always welcome.

Ah, yes, Darlington - been through it many a time on the train.

It would be very good indeed to get a game. I'm ill, and then very busy for the last few days of term, so I probably won't be available until I return after Christmas. But some time in January, at Durham GW, would be good - it's very close to the station.

I'll be in touch some time after January 18th, if you're still interested...

Thanks,

SD.
