I already sneaked into this one while it was in the proofreading-stage  and it already made me decide paint my faces a little different as I've done in the last 5 years, and I'm glad I finally changed my method cause the result is so much better now.

Many thanks for this short but excellent and very helpfull guide Tim!

I always start darker and work lighter....I am eager to attempt your method as your results are always stunning Tim! :)
Great article!

Nice article - simple to read.

Could have had a few different ways of doing eyes.

A little short but its quality, not quantity! :D

Nice article Tim, two things stood out for me. First was painting in the shadows which I've never tried. Like Dave, I tend to start dark and work using lighter paints as I go on. Also the eye method is a good method, painting in the eyelashes, then whites, then pupils, simple yet brilliant! :yay:

I have to try this out - I have never really been happy with the faces on most of my minis. A concise guide, well illustrated - thanks Tim!

Thanks guys I am glad the article has been well received. As for different ways to do eyes, I have only described the way I do mine that works for me and after all how many different ways can there be to paint eyes into a 28mm scale mini?

With a 28mm scale, I think this is one of the most daunting areas of miniature painting that our members face...especially those members with not much experience.

Great article that I am sure will be a valuable asset to the library !

Cheers guys, @Corsair maybe you could write an article on the many and varied techniques of painting eyes on small toy soldiers. I just described the one that works for me and is generally the one that alot of people use.
