Here is an Aragorn I intended to paint to complete my BGIME balins tomb diorama before I went to university. Now 4 years have passed, and I have finished uni, and have found myself with a massive amount of time on my hands, so its time to start to painting again! So here is my first real attempt at painting in 4 years!

I will hopefully finish him in the next couple of days or so, then i can paint frodo, and complete something that has been in limbo for years! Huzzah!

Nice painting. May I ask what paints you used for the green? 8)

certainly! For the basecoat of the coat, i used a dark angels green, then gradually added scorpion green to highlight up, tho i didnt use pure scorpion green as the final highlight, just a mix of the 2.

Firstly, for a four year gap that's some good work you have produced.

I would second the eye reduction and also if you haven't got any, invest in some Devlan Mud and other washes. They are fantastic.
You can give the waistcoat a coating of Devlan mud now and you will be pleased with the shading it gives.

Keep it going

Gandlaf

Lovely highlighting on the clothes... I'll have to agree with Gandlaf the Grey, the eyes seem a tad off :P

Looking forward to the diorama!

I love the colours you have chosen!, but i think the Brown is a bit too light, you should give it a few washes of Badab Black or Gryphonne Sepia 8)
