Nice minis James. Remember to file the back of your minis flat before putting them on the diorama, it looks much better then.

Btw, do you mind sharing the colours you used for your previous goblins? :)

I think the key was to just coat him in a few washes of badab black at the end to make him dark and grimey - and rather goblin-esque.

Okay, but the armour, which colours was that? Tin Bitz and Boltgun Metal or something?

Intresting paint scheme, I might test it out on a couple of old goblins I have lying around.

[center]A small update:

made a Mordor Uruk hai Banner Bearer for WoTR:

Also, gave the armour a wash of sepia, looks pretty nice imo.

James, where did those last 2 goblin archers go then?

If you wanted to see a bit more of the washes in action, Have a look:

Sepia on the armour, baal red on the cloth:

And Finally, been working on Ugluk:

washes were great to work with on this model.

boy, you do a lot at once!

I like the banner bearer, good job on him. Not a big fan of the elves, like I said, but all the rest of the painting is very decent. I see you are using those washes to the extreme ehe, I'll really have to look into them.

I've never tried these "new" washes... guess I'll have to, some day.

I can see them woking fine for orcs, uruks and evil creatures overall, but don't they give a 'dirty' look to the "always clean end good smelling" elves?

I like the way the goblins armour came out.

Keep it up mate!

Great work, James. 8)

I love your Mordor Uruk banner-bearer. Very nice model, a wonderful conversion. I love the goblins, their armor is perfect, though the skin seems a little dark. The armor on the Galadhrim looks good as well, I too love washing gryphonne sepia over gold armor. And the skin on Ugluk is amazing.

Keep up the fantastic work James. :)

Great job on the bannerbearer! I'd say maybe with a hobby knife cut some dents into the banner, to give it a more ripped and shabby appearance... Apart from that, Ugluk looks amazing! :-D

Now all you have to do is work on the other 50 minis you just bought :P

Very nice! I don't usually follow WiPs, but every time I look at this one I think "Hm, James is painting some good models" or something like that.
Keep up the good work! 8)

BTW, you might want to correct that typo.
