I would drop the shaman in favor of another uruk captain or even some more uruks with shields. I would also think about dropping the orc bowmen and uruk scouts for more crossbowmen. And if you're set on using the scouts, then at least lose the orc archers and use the points elsewhere. Not really and point in taking 5+ archers when you can have 4+ archers.

And unless I'm missing something, shouldn't the 5 orcs with spears and the 5 with shields only cost 30 points and not the 48 that you listed?

I would also try to pick up some more berserkers. Maybe drop the orcs in favor of the berserkers. That's just my opinion, it seems like that would fit the theme more.

the orcs do cost 6 points each. 5 without an upgrade. bow and spear cost one point. the orc archers allow me to volley. that is the only reason i use them. i really like the shaman because of fury and he can help by transfixing the enemy heroes. their are actually 8 orcs with spears and 8 with shields. should i change some of the orcs to uruk-hai warriors? that would bring my numbers down quite a bit.

What are the tournament restrictions for your army?

Meh, not that much. 60 models in an elite army is still very good numbers in a 750 point army.

Here's a few ideas:

Swap most of the Uruk-hai with pikes for Uruk-hai with shields.

Swap the Orc Warriors with shields for more with spears.

I'd also get more crossbows if I were you.

Agreed, swap the uruks and orcs with orc bows for uruks with cross bows. @ general Elessar how was your trip?

One last thing. If you have the models, I'd swap the Uruk-hai with crossbows for Uruk-hai Scouts with bows (so you can volley fire).

Just wondering, did you pay attention to any of our suggestions?

it worked well, for combats with all three sides involved we all rolled the dice and the winner can strike at any model he is in base contact with that is part of the fight.

Interesting... I've often thought of doing that, but I didn't think it would work well.

When you volley fire you choose a model to be your target. You roll to hit, and then you and your opponent alternately choose a model per hit within 6" of the orginal target. You then roll to wound for each model chosen. My question is, who chooses the models?

Also, does it end up with two players ganging up on the other?
