Would this be a viable competitive army?
I mean maybe throw in ragadast as an ally or something, but what do you guys think?

It seems to me that they could be, with all of their special rules, especially the elven cloaks thing. Their only real weakness would be cavalry.

I don't even think cavalry would be an issue, just hide in some woods and blow-pipe em to death. Sounds quite fun but also quite expensive.

It would be a viable army if you added Saruman and Gandalf to it - anti cavalry, anti hero and anti shooting heroes with 2 sorcerous blasts would really help a lot here. Another option - take Saruman and about 15 mounted Outriders to have bowfire and cavalry if you wish - Ukrocky played that at the 2010 GT and got 3 wins and a draw i believe.

Woses are VERY competetive. All those special rules make up for their low defence, they are full of character and great to paint aswell. The 'Hate Orc Folk' rules is also very powerful.

Saruman and Gandalf are interesting options. i was thinking ragadast so as to keep to the whole army as having elven cloaks, though I guess if i took gandalf the white i could give him an elven cloak.
The 2 options i see are:

Gandalf the White w/elven cloak 230
Ghan-buri-ghan 45
32 woses warrior 224

499, 34 units, 6 might

OR.

Ragadast 150
Ghan-buri-ghan 45
43 woses warrior 301

496 points, 45 units, 6 might

I was thinking ragadast because he has renew and he has panic steed, both of which would be useful i think.

What do you guys think?

I'm partial to the Radagast list myself.
45 models @ 500 pts is going to mean you are only just outnumbered each time.

And Panic Steed > Sorcerous Blast.
