Thanks Pip, this is fantastic!

All your NMM is incredible, but that shield! I can stare at it, tell myself it's not really chrome, but it won't sink in. It's truly awesome. I thought the chrome on my motorcycle was shiny, but I think I'll have to commission a paintjob like that on it. ;)

To create all those pics too, to show the graduations, was very thoughtful of you. For me, the real prize is that you gave us your colour recipes - those colour bars are very useful.

Again, that chrome effect, *sigh*, it's too hard to grasp really. Stunning stuff Pip.

Fantastic article, master Took!

Thanks for writing it, your NMM is excellent and I'm sure that many mambers (like myself) will find this text very useful.

A very interesting article. I may try it some time, using this article as a guide.
Thanks.
I suppose it's just what artists have done in the past in great masters etc.

This is a great article. I always liked the look of NMM but never knew how to do it. I would recommend adding more yellow to the gold gradient and not using pure white for the high light because gold does not reflect the same way as silver or steel would.
