yes, but i would take at least 10 incase they do get into a close combat fight (then they might win, instead of having 6 and them being killed in 2 turns!)

well in the hands of the urukhai it is a 4+ to hit not a 5+ but yeh, they do suck

Boost your numbers and take a) Isenguard Orcs with spears (for between the pike and shield uruks), and b) Isenguard Orcs with shields to line the sides. They'll get killed faster, but you have enough for them to just be cannon fodder

Hmm.. I think it would still be better just to have uruks with shields to line the flanks other wise you would be very exposed to flank cavalry attacks.
