hey guys...
so i want to do a 600pt evil army using of course the legions rules for allies and stuff... I want to for sure have a ringwraith on a fell beast but im not sure which ringwraith to use, but im leaning towards the witch kings... also im not sure what forces too use along with my nazgul...
also, if you guys think a ringwraith on a fell beast is too much for 600points i wouldnt mind using 1 or 2 ringwraithes on horse..
thank you for the help

So lets see the best Nazgul would be expect witch king of course is Tainted. But if your enemies have shoot heroes like Legolas you must take the shadow lord.

it would help if we knew what army you wanted to use. I find you will get more response if you post a possible army list nd get people to comment on it. It really depends what you want to use the ringwraith for. Khamul is a great combat wraith as he can get back will points, especially on a fell beast. But the shadow lord and undying are great as well. At 600 points i think its fine if you take a ringwraith on FB but you wont have much room for other heroes and your numbers wont be big so you will have to play a more strategic game.

But as I said try to post an army list and people will give you more feedback on that.

ohh yeah not sure what the opponent will have because its for a tournament in like february. but yeah i noticed the shadow lord is very uselful against bowfire.. but ohh yeah i understand where your coming from... i just dont have any ideas of what direction i want to go with... i have small like 200-300 point armies of isengard uruk hai, orcs with 5 orcs on warg rider, moria goblins, mordor uruk hai, and an army of easterlings... so like im not sure which army to add to that would go with with a wringwraith on fell beast...
however, i am really intersted in getting into a mahud warrior army with the plowpipes and camels.. but still not sure of what to put toegether

Looks like the problem is you have a lot of small armies, which can be allied, but each ally requires a hero. If you already have an easterling army, Khamul on a fell beast might work well. He's not the best spellcaster, but he has a good chance of getting his will back. Since he can lead an easterling army, you don't need another hero to ally them in. If you wanted to flesh out easterlings, maybe Amdur, lots of pikes and a war priest, should fill out your ranks nicely.

You mentioned Mahud and camels, and I have really enjoyed playing them, mostly because they look great on the battlefield, and when they hit, they hit hard. However, they're expensive, and you'll have to trim back on the easterling contingent to fit them in (dropping Amdur, etc). Also, you have to be careful with them, don't let them get shot down. Make sure to take the King, not a tribemaster, because they're a cowardly bunch...the king has enough courage and a bit more will to stick around. Protecting them with a small screen of kataphracts might not be a bad idea.

The plastic wraith on a fell beast kit has a head for the witch king and a "normal" head. You can use the normal one for Khamul or any other wraith.

Looks like you have the roots of several armies, I'd just pick one of them for now to expand on. Mordor looks easiest to flesh out: a shaman, a drummer, maybe some morannons, trackers, a mordor troll...you've already got Shagrat and some uruks.

Mahud is a godo army because he gives the idea you escaped a little from the films. As for blowpipes maythat work. The only i dislike is the bone at their head. From your army i like most Khamul but i tjink the strongest is the one with Gothmog.Als you may use Isengard"love uruk hais" :-D

do you think the ringwraith of fell beast and gothmog are too many points together for 600 point battle?

Yes that will halve your army models.

You can get out gorbag warg riders and the captain for the damage to be less.

Just to expand on that, in the May 2010 White Dwarf (I can't remember what issue) there's an article about someone who converted the "normal" Nazgul on the Fellbeasts into all nine named Nazgul.

I don't have enough to make a mahud army on its own, so they get allied with mordor or easterlings. My mumak is still in the box, but it seems to me unless you had a massive battle (like 1500+ points), the mumak + mahud would be too expensive...but it would still be a lot of fun to play :)

Likes: strong, multi-attack, camels get free hit on a charge, immune to fear under the right conditions
Dislikes: expensive, susceptible to elf bows, run for their mommy under the wrong conditions

Nope, but people seem to like them. One nice thing about the game is you can make just about anything work. Some point costs are a little off, but mostly it's pretty balanced.
