Does anyone know where I can get one of the old figures of Boromir on foot, in armour, with the white banner? I try e-bay periodically, but so far without success.

yup I'm really after one too, I've seen a few on ebay before so you just have to keep searching. Most of them have gone for a fair bit thought

I believe that that particular miniature is known as Boromir Captain of the White Tower. A recommended site for all hobby related things out-of-stock or out-of-print is Noble Knight http://www.nobleknight.com. A quick search on this site reveals that they actually have not had this miniature for about two and a half years, but there is an option to be notified when it becomes available.

So, even though this post was useless, I guess if there's anything you can get from it is that this is indeed a rare, expensive, and collectable miniature. If you really want the genuine miniature, you may want to try the Trading Post--if not, you could go for a conversion.

So, (as in the rest of my life), I have good taste but bad luck

Converting the current one must be an option then. Back to my old friends, Mr. Razor Saw and Mrs. Millie Putt. :o

No. Absolutely not. And I won't be bidding, if anyone asks. Especially Drumstick. HANDS OFF!

This reminds me of a certain Orc and a certain Uruk hai fighting over a shiny shirt and we all know how that ended :o
