Hi all, I recently got hold of the old Forgeworld Malus Darkblade model 54mm scale from a friend but the sword is missing and i need a new one sculpting so I can paint the model up, are there any sculptors on here that would do this for me, below is a picture of the model in question.

Image

The part I need is basically the hilt and the blade from where the cross guard is on the hand. PM me if anyone can help. In return I am willing to paint a model as payment.

Thanks guys.

I'd love to try it! :-)
(with in my mind you painting a model for me in return... hmmm... let's see... Balrog... Fell Beast... Dragon... MUMAK!)

Just kidding, I'll leave it to more experienced greenstuffers ;)

Oh, any chance you have it more detailed? I can see some sort of inscription in the blade, or am I wrong?

I can probably do that once my current commission is finished. 54mm is nice and big so shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks guys, let me know Dave what and when you want a mini painting in return, that is the best image i can find of the model complete with sword, the hilt/ crossguard has a skull on it but I am not fussed about that being on the replacement. As long as the sword is in scale with the model or as near as it can be then that is fine for me.
I am not sure if there is an inscription on the blade either again I am not too fussed about that.

p.s. what is the model in your avatar picture.

That is the mounted banner bearer of the dead I made utilising Natarns original foot model. Bigger pics are in my WIP thread somewhere.

Do you want me to knock up a sword based on your measurements, or will you mail the figure to me so that I can gage it properly and 'fix' it here?

I think if I give you a generic measurement that would be best, the crossguard needs to be 5mm to 6mm across and the blade about 35mm to 40mm in length, I have had another guy offer to do one for me as well so it will be interesting to see what you come up with, thanks so much for your time mate.

Found a painted version but the sword isn't much clearer.

Image

There is a nice piece of concept art but the sword is somewhat different:

Which leads me to this lovely sculpt/conversion blog:

and painted:
