Yes I have the US version of that and it works fine. I do not know what is available but I can suggest some things to look for.
This model has a fence and this very handy circle cutter for about the same price as the one recommended by
http://www.terragenesis.co.uk/infopages/page182.html. It also has a plug in for a wand and a sculpting tool.
The wand and the sculpting tool are shown with a pair of custom saws that I made. Also there is a wood burner pen on the left. Some of them have razor blade attachments they are very useful. You might want to look for one of these.
These are commercial tools called hot knives. They are used during construction. The orange one is very expensive and has all of the accessories found on a jig saw. It has an accessory for cutting framing studs into very thick insulation. Very hot and very dangerous. The new one at the bottom only cost about $20 not as capable but at a 10th the price.
Most of the hobby brands have safety elements that cause them to be slow for large jobs. Most people don't do as many huge projects as I do. They will work fine.
The wood burner or a pen solder iron with the screw on razor blades are a must have. The Wire cutter from

is a good buy. I also recommend this one
